Eyelash Perm: No More Curlers or Mascara

If you want flattering lashes without using lash stimulators like Latisse, Lashfood or RevitaLash try getting an eyelash perm. For about $50, the process takes about one hour and you would need to to get them redone about every 4-6 weeks depending on your eyelash growth. You can find eyelash perming kits for home-use, however each lash needs to be positioned perfectly or else you’ll end up with scraggly lashes.

With continued eyelash perms, I recommend conditioning your lashes with lash conditioners. Can you imagine stepping out of the shower with curled lashes and not having to worry about runny mascara during summer months at the beach? You’ll find yourself skipping mascara and leaving behind your lash curler at home.

Making the most out of Latisse

For the last 6 months I have been using Latisse. Having tried other lash stimulators, Latisse gave me immediate results. It’s pretty expensive for the tiny little bottle ($120) but if you use it the way I’ve been using it, it’ll last you more than 3 months and still work as effectively.
My secret is to use ONE drop on ONE fresh applicator for BOTH upper lash line each night before bed. Latisse recommends a drop per lash line and a new applicator for each, but you’ll be forking out another $120 before you know it. My lashes are noticeable longer and fuller, I saw results after about a month. One you begin to see results you don’t have to apply it EVERY night. Just apply it the same way I told you like every other day and you’ll still keep those luscious lashes. BUT once you STOP completely, say hello to your OLD natural lashes. Don’t worry, your old lashes will GRADUALLY grow in, depending on the rate of your lash growth, it’s not like you go bald and grow new stubby lashes.
If you’re not comfortable with the side effects of Latisse, I recommend Talika’s Lipocils Lash Conditioner. I love the way it glides onto my lashes and instantly darkens and thickens them without any pigment so I don’t have to worry about runny mascara.

Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil by Alterna

Compared to Moroccan Oil and Josie Maran’s Argan Oil, I find Alterna’s Bamboo Oil to have a softerand less oily finish. It helps with the frizz and has a light fruity scent which doesn’t last like Moroccan Oil. I like to apply the oil to the ends of my damp hair and also when my hair is dry for shine. The applicator is difficult and messy to use and a little goes a long way so start with a pea size drop before adding more. And lastly, it’s not as heavy as Morrocan or Argan so the Bamboo oil won’t weigh your hair down as much. You can find Alterna’s Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil Pure Oil Treatment 1.7 oz. at Sephora for $24.

Argan Oil and Moroccan Oil

Argan Oil is in Morrocan Oil and now these companies are coming out with 100% Argan Oil which to me is not only a little more oily than Morrocan Oil but also more expensive. It doesn’t do anymore than Morrocan Oil so I’d rather just use Morrocan and enjoy the lovely rich fragrance. I also like their oil spray which is convenient if you don’t want to get the oil on your fingers. Here you can compare the prices and if you want to try Argan Oil for free go to Sephora and ask for a sample of Josie Maran’s Argan Oil.
